An Exciting Announcement!

Today is a very exciting day for Warwick as it has been announced that he is one of three very lucky recipients of the David Randall Foundation’s Inspirational Awards for 2019.

The David Randall Foundation, set up in honour of talented sportsman and musician David Randall, provides Good Days for people with life limiting illnesses and scholarships to those who show dedication in either music or sport.

Warwick is so grateful to have been awarded one of the Inspirational Awards for 2019 and would like to thank the trustees of the charity for choosing to support him in chasing his triathlon dreams this year.

We will be sharing Warwick’s progress on this blog for the Charity’s supporters to keep updated on how their fundraising is making a difference.

If you would like to support the David Randall Foundation in their work to offer such amazing opportunities for other young people as well as providing more Good Days for those with life limiting illnesses, please visit their website at https://www.davidrandallfoundation.org/

Once again, we would like to say a huge ‘thank you’ to the David Randall Foundation, their Trustees and supporters for all of their fundraising efforts that have made this support possible.

Keep Tri-ing,

Warwick and Jodie 😊

Race Number 1 - The Chilly One at Grafham Water

'I'm sure it will be warmer when we get there!' This bank holiday weekend saw the first of Warwick's races as he attempts to qualify for a spot on the Team GB Age-Group Squad After making the 100 mile trip up to Cambridgeshire excitement was high and so were the nerves for what lay ahead. As is becoming customary for Warwick's races the weather the few days before had been "varied" which meant that as we tried to prepare for the race every eventuality had to be considered. When driving the route the day before it was clear that, although quick, given the route would be effected by any degree of wind pacing would be the key to a well executed race.  The night before a race is always a strange one, everyone else would get an early night; make sure that they are well rested and relaxed for the following day. Warwick however does things a different way, in a strange fashion a shut down happens in his mind. A different mindset takes over, o...
About Us Welcome to our new blog! We are based in the South of England and participate in a range of triathlons from Super-Sprint to Olympic distance across the UK. Warwick is currently training hard for a number of Olympic and Sprint distance triathlons in the coming season, aiming to improve on the successes of last year, whilst Jodie is taking a much more relaxed approach, with no races in the calendar apart from a couple of charity 10ks. We hope that this blog will give you an insight into our training (which Jodie will hopefully start soon!) and give some reports and reviews of the races that we participate in. Please let us know if there is anything you'd like to see on this blog and we will do our best. We are by no means experts, picking up advice from a range of coaches and other triathletes we've been lucky enough to train and race with as well as from the, sometimes challenging, lessons we've learnt along the way! We hope you enjoy our blog. Ke...

Sunday Funday

Rough Terrain Run in Aid of St Michael’s Hospice 10-02-2019 This Sunday we attended the Rough Terrain Run in aid of St Michael’s Hospice, a Sussex based charity providing palliative care and bereavement support across Hastings and Rother. Warwick didn’t run this one through fear of injuring himself before the triathlon season, so I took on the mud with my mum who began running last summer. Warwick did, however, provide support by keeping my post-run clothes warm, taking photos and standing around in the cold whilst we were out having fun – at least he had a good laugh watching me attempt the warm-up! The event began with a motivational warm-up involving star jumps, squats, and touching various body parts to the muddy ground to ensure we were ready to tackle the next 5km. Once the warm-up was complete, the countdown began and we were off up the first slippery slope. Signs of mud beginning to show!   The run took us through fields and woodland with a number of obs...
